I have went over multiple requirements for writing and citing using MLA for the research paper. This post is an attempt to consolidate all of that information into one resource. Please reference all these resources before submitting your Final. If you have already received a grade for your final and it was not passing, be sure to reference and make the corrections before submitting for regrading. First, you need to make sure you use a good citation generator. For many EasyBib and MLA Citation Machine didn't work, so I suggested three new sources. Please use these if you had trouble with the above to create your citations: For all the resources below, I recommend pressing the CTRL + F button and typing keywords to the questions you may have. Many have not created correct citations for your Works Cited page when it comes to websites with no author. Please visit this page and scroll to the section titled: MLA 9 Citation for Websites with No Author. Highlighted on this page is the information below:
Also, as noted above some of you have included editors as the author in your Works Cited page, but there is a particular order to citations that should be followed.
Lastly, after creating your citation on your Works Cited page, some of you are still not using the correct parenthetical citation. You must use the first word from your Works Cited source in your parenthetical.
